Security – Is it possible to add HTTP Authentication just to login page?
I was wondering of ways to make a WordPress installation more secure. The site has about 20 users, does not allow new users to register, and comments are disabled.
Would it be possible to put the login page behind HTTP Authentication?
I do not expect this to be a silver bullet to make a site unhackable, but it would just add another layer of complexity/effort for attackers/bots to get through. No other pages would be effected, just the login page.
In case it matters, the users are keen users of the WordPress mobile app.
