Post shows up in database, not in dashboard, screws up other posts in the loop

Question

I’m pretty new to WordPress developement and I’m really not sure what’s happening here.

I’ve created a new category called “Advertorial” and my goal was to loop thorugh it with a WP_query and catch the newest posts.

But I’m not even getting that far because everytime I create a new post in this category, it shows up in my database, but stays hidden in the dashboard.
If I look for posts in this category, it states that there is one posts, but doesn’t show it.

Also for some weird reason it stops WordPress from looping through the 15 posts of one category I show on the frontpage and has it stop at 14.

The only fix I have right now is deleting the entries from the database. But of course I’d like to use this category for showing specific types of posts.

Here is a bugged entry in the last rows of my database:

There is no problem when creating posts in other categories. Everything works fine there.

Sorry for not being more specific, but I really don’t know what’s going on here.
