On a website I am developing I get in backend some data from an external software via API’s. This software sends images that are quite big (2 to 3 MB per image) and they are loaded every night on the server.

Images are not uploaded in the WP Media Gallery but in a dedicated folder via FPT.

The images are rendered in frontend with the same size they are uploaded and the website loads insanely slow.

There is a way to compress the images in frontend end via a PHP or using a plugin?
