How would I go about ordering products within a taxonomy alone?

I am already using the plugin Simple Custom Post Order which allows me to order the terms within a taxonomy. But when I view that taxonomy and the products within, I would like to be able to order the products. I am aware of the ‘This is a featured product’ but this effects the main loop. I would like to be able to order products within a taxonomy without effecting other loops.

I have tried adding custom filters to the Admin Products Table, and then sorting (dragging and dropping) the products from here, but this again affects the entire product catalogue.
