Keep a session alive with a session timeout of 1 minute
I have a wordpress site with custom content for every user on a page. The user stays on that page for many hours without pressing or doing anything.
It’s a paied service. So the users is not allowed to access the page from multiple devices simultaneously with the same login.
I can get this to work with the “Loggedin” plugin. I only allow 1 session and block new attempts.
But when the user shuts down the browser without pressing the logout button, that session still exists. So that user wouldn’t be able to login again for 2 days.
So with the “WP Login Timout Settings” plugin, I have set the Session time to 1 minute. So when the users closes the browser, he can revisit the page after 1 minute. But now when the user is on that page, the session expires after 1 minute and you can re-use the login on an other device.
So I am looking for a way to keep my session alive on that page. Maybe with a script that ask something every 30 seconds so the server thinks I’m still doing something on that page.
