How to show Post in Featured Content Section in Lucida free WordPress theme by Catch Themes

I have Installed Lucida free WordPress theme by Catch Themes on my site. On the Home Page in header highlight content section and the latest news section (news Ticker) they have given only demo and page section to show there, but i want to show post instead of page. so plz help me out how can i do that?
