I have a text field “Author Name” in ACF on the post page and I want to set it as required. I tried setting it in ACF in the field options as required. It added the required attribute for the field in post page but on saving the post, it does not validate.

WordPress version: 5.3
ACF version: 5.8.7

Is there any way to fix this in ACF or set it as required manually through some hook?
