I am working on a website that need to be transferred to work on another theme, this theme is set up on a subdomain, but for testing purposes i need to depend on images exist on the primary domain, and i can’t copy the uploads folder because of its size.
Is there any way to make WordPress read from the main domain uploads folder.

Update one: To be mentioned, i have imported posts to the subdomain, so any meta data should be available
