I am brand new to wordpress/web dev so I apologize in advance if this is very remedial stuff.

I am looking to design a website with the following layout (image posted below). I have been having trouble identifying a way to add multiple dynamic sections.

My site will contain 2 main sections (latest news and reviews). If I create a post for a “news” topic, I want it to update in A1 with an image I select. If I create another post, that post would slide over to A2, and the new “news” post will add to A1. So on and so forth.

In the reviews section, i want it to work similarly. If I post a “review” post I want it to add to B1 with the artwork I choose. As I add more “review” categorized posts, these would slide over to B2-B3-B4 respectively. I also want to include a short description/title below these images.

The 3rd section would either be a rotating array of images or a section that includes all latest posts (so it would include posts from reviews, news, uncategorized etc).

So my question is, is it possible to have categorized dynamic sections on wordpress like I envision? Is this reasonable to do with basically zero knowledge of html at the moment? Any advice on how to attack this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
