I am creating a blog now and it is still brand new. I’d like to set a counter that counts the total of the posts that will be posted on the blog. I will be deleting posts regularly but I don’t want that to reflect on the counter. That means the counter will always increase and never go down when I delete a post.

I looked throughout the previously asked questions for a solution and I found this one that belongs to 2015 matches exactly what I am trying to achieve but I couldn’t figure out how to implement it on my website, probably because it is meant for custom type posts.

Anybody can help with the code in that link or provide a code that will do the trick I am trying to achieve.
