Design plugin with especific table, combining functions plugin and wordpress

good day. the custom field function is not useful to me because what I want is to empty a table with thousands of records, so what I did was design a plugin that uses a specific table and form to insert, edit, delete, etc. all good .

My question is what wordpres functions besides the CRUD wpdb can I use to combine with the plugin functions, for example tags or keywords, or categories, and how could I do it, via wpdb queries ? If you have some examples for reference, I would appreciate them.
