I made a post similar to this without any answers so I’m going to try and be more specific.

I have a plugin called “custom post type UI” it helps create custom taxonomies so I can use them on my posts and pages. Something happened when this site was handed over to me, because all the previous data it used remains on the front end, I can create new taxonomies that work just fine, but the old taxonomies do not display on the post/page dashboard.

Note: this isn’t the only plugin that is having this issue, ACF is also having a similar issue where I can create working new functions, the old display on the front end, but the old ones aren’t available on my posts/pages.

I’d really like to be able to edit the terms associated with the old taxonomies, without going into the database. I would imagine the issue is wherever WordPress tells each post/page to insert the taxonomies. It would help a lot if someone could point me in the right direction on this issue.

What do I need to know about troubleshooting this issue?
